It’s hard to believe that we’re already half-way into the second week of October, but it’s true. That means the deadline for Submissions for the World Unknown Review is coming up pretty quickly! Submissions will close after October 31st, 2013.
At the time of writing this post, I have received no submissions, which means the odds of being considered are pretty darn good right now. Granted, I haven’t been doing a lot of advertising, but, in the event of low submissions, the project will be put on hold until next year. I will gladly still read the submissions and give my suggestions and wish them better luck in more active markets.
So please, send me your work! Remember, there’s a $15 prize to all authors chosen for the collection, though this will be forfeit if enough entries are not received. There is a vague theme of “Down the Rabbit Hole,” but, due to lack of submissions, the theme is more a suggestion than a hard and fast rule.
Also, spread the word! The more, the merrier! If you get the chance to pass this along to fellow friends and writers, then the community aspect of building up an indie literary review from the bottom up becomes even more pronounced and celebrated.
October 31st will be here sooner than we know, and I’d love to be able to put an actually collection on the shelf, rather than the idea. I look forward to hearing from you.
